May we introduce ourselves ?

The WEK owes its success not least to the highly motivated staff, operating the railway tirelessly.

Those Indispensable Folks ...

Our Motto from an old railwaymen's flag: "The railwaymen with eagerness, are active now and at all times, and employ property and their own lives, for public benefit and traffic alone"

Characters above:

Jim Knopf und Lukas der Lokomotivführer (Lukas the Engine Driver)
from the famous puppet show, "Augsburger Puppenkiste" (link to video scene, in German language)

Time off ...

Leisure Time

is highly essential for a good performance of the staff. Generous regulations of working times and holidays enable the WEK's staff to do their job with full power.

In the beautiful environments of Wilhelmstal (e.g. here at the Knopfbach Viaduct) everybody can be on the mend, just like this employee, who waves his arm to his driving colleages, passing the viaduct on duty.
